The Problem

Group dining decisions are time-consuming and frustrating, often resulting in endless back-and-forth conversations.

Research showed that:

People spend 132 hours per year deciding where to eat
Group decisions can take 25 minutes or more
Preferences like budget, dietary needs, and location are often overlooked

This leads to decision fatigue, exclusion, and stalled outcomes.

Reflection

Google Aye demonstrated how small, thoughtful design decisions can solve deeply human problems. This project strengthened my ability to work under pressure, apply design systems effectively, and balance user needs with business considerations—all within an extremely limited timeframe.
