JobHunnt is a resume and cover letter company that specializes in an AI assistant. You can save jobs from LinkedIn, Google, or manually to your dashboard, and the AI assistant creates custom resumes, one for each job application, with keywords that beat ATS.
This month-long project involved the redesign of the 3 Feature pages, creating 4 motion graphic animations, along with the logo redesign.

Looking through JobHunnt's current application called for immediate redesign. As mentioned in the SWOT analysis, the website's layout was static and linear, and way too much text.

Looking at two competitors helped scope the project. Looking at KickResume and Teal helped establish what we needed to focus on. Through this analysis, I was able to determine what is valuable and what could be changed.

Both use incredible visuals and videos to help users understand what they offer, and the layouts are well-spaced out despite having lots of text. This helped prioritize ideas and tasks further along in the project.

I then prioritized tasks and ideas. Placing high priority on layout changes and putting animations last, even though the animation would be the first aspect completed in the project. This layout helped me visualize what needed to be done and in what order, keeping the project's process consistent.

1) Engaging Explanations
Since there's many features/services JobHunnt offers, explaining what they do is essential. However, too much text makes it hard for users to engage with and difficult to understand fully. Instead, using visuals of the feature/service in action, in this case through animation, users have a much easier time understanding how to apply certain features.

Results and Takeaways
This was the very first internship I had the pleasure of working on. I've learned a lot about the work culture of UX/UI designers, thus improving my work habits and communication skills. I was able to utilize my fluency in Figma, specifically concerning components and motion graphics, which put me ahead of other designers in terms of technical skills and creativity. This was also my first time redesigning a logo, which pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me develop my Illustrator and graphic design skills. Looking back on this project now, I can see there are improvements that I can make in terms of UI and overall layout design. Despite this, however, I'm proud of the result of my first internship project.
